Lucius is regarded by the town as an evil gun-slinger who had an affair with the fiancée of the town’s owner, Joshua Carter, and who shot them both dead in the street, in an argument over land rights.
The reality being very different, Lucius’ ghost appeals to Danny (his only living male heir) to clear his name and allow him to rest in peace.
Danny adapts quickly to ‘life out West’ and goes on to discover the truth about his discredited gun-slinging relative (who died more than a century earlier) picking up clues along the way, which help him track down his real mother too.
This action-packed story ends in a thrilling finale, with Danny forced to choose between family loyalty,(to clear the name of Lucius and allow him to rest in peace) and his love for Kate Carter, descendant of the man Lucius killed all those years ago… Only time will tell…
